In the beginning of out EDU 106 class we were sent to a website where there were a bunch of lego commercials. They were separated up by "boy" commercials and "girl" commercials. We were asked to drag the "girl" commercial into either the audio or the visual box and drag the "boy" commercial into the opposite. The outcome of this is actually quite histerical but kind of offensive to me since I am a girl. All the "girl" commercials were about shopping and hanging out with their friends, while in the "boy" commercial there was a ton of action in it. As a kid, I remember there was no boy or girl legos and I would play with legos all the time. I think there is nothing wrong with girls and boys playing with toys that are made for the opposite gender.
